Keeping Saxony chickens

Saxony chickens are used to the barrenness of the Ore Mountains and are therefore a very robust breed and are well suited to free-range keeping. They are very happy-growing and precocious, they are also keen foragers and do not make high demands. Therefore, these animals are also suitable for beginners.

Character of Saxony hens

With their trusting nature and calm temperament, Saxons are a breed that quickly become tame. Saxon hens are caring and good hens when they get into the breeding mood, but unfortunately this is rarely the case.

Eggs from Saxony hens
