Keeping leghorns
They make no demands on their housing. As they are somewhat lighter, the fence should be a little higher. They are good foragers and recyclers. They are also a very energetic and lively breed and never get bored.
Character of Leghorns
Leghorns are somewhat shy in nature, they prefer to keep their distance but with a lot of effort it could work out that they eat out of your hand. The hens never really get into the breeding mood.
Eggs from Leghorn hens
The female representatives of the Leghorns lay up to 260 white eggs weighing 55g per year. In the second year, there can be as many as 200 eggs.
