Preserve chicken breeds

Purebred poultry, such as chickens, bantams, turkeys, pigeons and ducks…. contribute to the preservation of rare and endangered breeds. The Federation’s mission is to preserve species and thus protect animals at an international level. The federation would like to support interested parties with advice when it comes to questions of species-appropriate breeding. It is also happy to help clubs and associations.

Animal welfare

Another component of the work is animal welfare. This coordinates the activities of pedigree poultry breeders with the numerous legal provisions on animal welfare. The association is also committed to the species-appropriate keeping of poultry. As well as achieving certain beauty values while maintaining and improving the performance of pedigree and ornamental poultry.
